すしをたべて、はなしをして、たのしかったです。

Odoru Daisousasen is a Japanese drama, with some comedic moments. It originally ran for 11 episodes, and has spawned several TV specials and four full-length theatrical movies.

Oda Yuji plays a character named Aoshima Shunsaku, an ex-computer salesman, who decides one day that he wants to be a detective. 週末

金曜日から土曜日まで、ジャパンクラブがシカゴツアーにいきました。
クラブのメンバーは、金曜日に　居合道（いあいどう：Japanese modern martial art）をして、よる、カラオケでうたいました。そして、土曜日に、ショッピングモールにいって、「Sozai Banzai」という　日本しょくレストランで　ひるごはんをたべて、ミツワでかいものをして、かえりました。

「Sozai Banzai」には　とてもAuthenticな　日本のたべものがあります。
先生は、チキンのていしょく（set menu)をたべましたよ。
とてもおいしかったです！

日本のていしょくは　たいてい　ごはんと　みそしるがあります。そしてメインりょうりと　サイドディッシュがありますよ。

ウェンさんは　ミツワで　たこやき（octopus balls）をたべました。

１）Learn about Japanese houses by

         - checking relavant websites

         - reading your textbook p176-177

         - watching the following video

２）Compare American houses and Japanese ones and find similarities and differences
        Think "WHY" (i.e. Typical Japanese houses have at least one rice cooker. "WHY?").

３）Post a blog entry about American houses (rooms) for the Japanese audience. Introduce things in your house/ room, and if possible/ necessary explain why.

４）Use various adjectives, verbs and grammar structures.

Please remember, people from Japan could be checking your blog. Make sure that you introduce unique features of American houses for them.

1. Discuss 'what makes a good blog' in groups. At the end of the semester we will have not only teachers but also you and your classmates evaluate each other’s blogs. We will use the results of your discussions today as a basis for deciding the criteria that we will use to evaluate the blogs at the end of the semester.

The topic of my presentation will be about the Japanese language study. It will focus on the benefits of the language and how it can unlock opportunities for students. First, I will go through the benefits. Then I will begin to explain how Middlebury was a great experience in creating a great foundation for learning the language and preparing me for Japan. From that point, I will begin to talk about my experience abroad and the skills I gained from it. Finally, I will conclude with a bit about the Gilman Scholarship. Then there will be a Q&A session.
